Dear Veronica and workers,
     In 1976 I took a five-hour glucose tolerance test and the results indicated a pre-diabetic condition and sever hypoglycemia.
     I have prayed to Our Lady of the Roses for a cure. I have just had another glucose tolerance test, and to my surprise and that of the doctor, the results were normal!  I attribute this cure to Our Lady of the Roses and thank Her from the bottom of my heart!
     Also, my sister J.K. has been an epileptic for about twelve years. I again prayed to Our Lady of the Roses for her. A recent brainwave test shows no epilepsy whatsoever.
     I cannot thank Our Lady enough. I hope these cures will inspire many others to seek Our Lady's help.

Glaucoma cures

"DR. TIRICO SAID I COULD NOT BE CURED OF GLAUCOMA"
October 9, 1983
Dear Veronica,
     I first read about "Bayside" in the fall of 1981. The first vigil I attended was November 20th, Eve of Christ the King. At that time I verbally asked to be cured of Glaucoma. I never felt that I would be cured, as I always felt that it was my cross. On August 21, 1982, I wrote a petition to Our Lady. In September, I met a lady who saw me using my eye drops. She told me to see Dr. Spaeth, that he would cure me, as he cad cured her of Glaucoma years before.
     Finally, I made an appointment with Dr. Spaeth. On the morning of December 6th, I used two rose petals and put them on my eyes, and said three Hail Marys and asked to be healed. After all testing was done, Dr. Spaeth came to the conclusion that I did not have Glaucoma, that I not use the medication any more and that I return to my own Opthalmologist. I went back in January, March, and July and the pressure is still low, and I have not used any drops since December 6th, 1982. In fact, I drove up to the Vigil on December 7th to thank Our Lady for Her intercession.
     Enclosed is a letter from my Doctor stating that I had used drops for 21 years. When Dr. Tirico originally diagnosed Glaucoma in California, he said that I could not be cured, as the type that I have cannot be cured by surgery, etc., that I would have to use drops for the rest of my life, or go blind.
     Again, I thank Our Lord and Our Lady for healing me.

Dear Veronica:
     I wanted to write to tell you what happened to me.
     I was told by my eye specialist that I have glaucoma, an incurable eye disease. He gave me drops to put in my eyes day and night. This was to prevent the condition from worsening. It took awhile to find the correct medicine for my condition. He saw me every 10 days, trying different medication. Thereafter he saw me every 3 months.
     Meanwhile my daughter was praying to Our Lady of the Roses and Jesus for a cure for my eye disease. She knew I had other things wrong with me, including sugar diabetes.
     We both went to the vigil on October 1, 1988 (the evening of St. Theresa and the Guardian Angels) In the Rosary Procession, my daughter prayed for me, and did smell the roses. She touched my eyes with the rose petals they gave her and we were very emotional.
     When I went to the eye doctor a week later, he told me that the eyes were healthy and there was no sign of the glaucoma. I was speechless. We attribute this cure to Our Lady of the Roses and St. Theresa.
     It was then we remembered that when we went to the vigil on October 1, we had been told that St. Theresa would be giving out cures for the ill and the disabled that evening.
     Veronica, please thank Our Lady, Jesus and St. Theresa for us. Also, we will remember you in our prayers.

hearing loss

Dearest Veronica,
     I came to the Apparitions six times last year. I told a friend of mine about it, so this lady said she wanted a sign that--if it is true--I would hear again, because my hearing is very poor. I went to the medical doctor, and he couldn’t help, so my daughter kept telling me she was going to take me to an ear doctor later. I could go so I can have a hearing aid. I said, "No, not now--wait till winter passes."
     Yesterday morning, my hearing was very good again. I believe it’s a miracle from Our Lady of the Roses, because the lady was praying for this intention, but I always believed in it. It was nine months since I could hear this way. I couldn’t hear the Gospel at Mass and so many other things. I hear now my footsteps in the house--which I never heard before, the water dripping, the radio when my daughter puts it low, and the television when it is very low--before it had to be high point before I could really hear it. I hear my daughter from far away speaking to me, before, she would be right next to me and I would say, "Speak loud, I can’t hear you."
     Now I hear so good, and I wish to report this to you so it can be known. This lady now believes the Apparitions are true, because she wanted the sign concerning my ears. I am so happy about my ear cure. Thanks be to God and Our Lady of the Roses bless you and protect you always.

     I had a hiatal hernia, and was sick every day with it, so I placed my medal of Our Lady of the Roses over it. The next day, and every day since, I have not had any sign of sickness, thanks to our dear Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers.

"WHEN I KISSED THE STATUE MY HIP AND SPINE WERE HEALED"
October 5, 1979
Dear Veronica,
     I am 82 years old. When I attended the Vigil of Our Lady of the Roses Shrine on September 14, 1979, the Vigil of the Triumph of the Cross, Eve of Our Lady of Sorrows, I received a cure.
     I had stayed until the very end. My two daughters brought me up to the statue of Our Blessed Lady. I was so weak and in pain I could hardly make it to climb the steps. One of the Saint Michael guards tilted the Madonna statue so that I would be privileged to kiss it. When I kissed the statue my hip and spine, which had been badly damaged in a bad fall, were healed. I had prayed with all my heart during the Vigil for Jesus to heal me. Through the prayers of Our Blessed Virgin Mary I have been truly blessed and healed at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers.
     I walk really good now, and I am free of severe pain in my hip and spine.
     I thank God with all my heart for all his blessings and care.

hole in heart

Dear Veronica,
     My little granddaughter, Kristin, from birth has had a very large hole in her heart which never got any better. The doctors, after many examinations and heart catherizations, told her parents that this summer the child would need open heart surgery.
     The hole in her heart was first detected when she was two weeks old. For a time, she had to take heart medication. When she was six months old, and again when she was two and a half, she had to go into the hospital and undergo heart catherizations along with other tests. Every six months, she had to go to the doctor's office and have EKG's done and other examinations. During these years she wasn't growing much in size, and throughout all this, there was never once any sign of improvement.
     About a month ago, I gave my daughter-in-law a blessed rose petal, and told here to put it under the child's mattress. I also told her to believe and to pray. In the meantime, I prayed for her and sent her name in my petition for her cure, hopefully without the surgery, to the Shrine, to be placed on the altar at the vigil.
      Today the child was to go in for her heart checkup and a date was to be set for the surgery. To the doctor's amazement, he discovered the hold was closing up and therefore would not need the surgery this year. She had also grown two inches in a six month period. After this length of time, he said, it rarely happens that the hold would begin to close up. But he said it definitely was closing up!
     I cannot tell you how excited I was to hear this news. I couldn't wait to give you this testimony.
     I am so grateful to Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother. I believe that only through Their graces and the rose petals is our granddaughter being cured.
     Thank you for making me aware of the messages. I will always be a believer in your mission.

Dear Veronica,
     I am a native of Brooklyn and have been to Bayside five times and also to the Vatican grounds. I have been meaning for the past year to write to you regarding the miraculous cure of my legs.
     I had heart surgery three times; I had the most horrible pains in my legs for four years. I saw about 50 doctors; they gave me every name you could imagine for my physical condition. I couldn't stand more than 15 minutes or walk more than a block. Only Jesus and Our Mother in heaven know the pains I had.
     Thank God Almighty I heard of your apparitions in Long Island, my home. Since last December 8th, Immaculate Conception Day--when I stood for three hours in the bitter cold--since then I have had no more pain and am walking and standing.
     I've written about my cure, and about you and Our Lady and Jesus, and my silver rosaries turning to gold, after my return home from the Sept. 16th and 13th vigils to the National Enquirer, and I pray before it's too late that all the bishops, clergy, cardinals and nuns recognize the sad times we are facing. God love you, Veronica. May Our Lady protect you always.

Dear Veronica,
     It's a great miracle! My friend, Rose, has been cured of leukemia, or cancer of the blood. She was confined in the hospital in a serious condition. I have given a rose petal to her through her father. Her father let her drink the water from which the rose petal was submerged. After a few weeks, she recovered. Her cure was attributed to the rose petal I sent for her. She has now a plan to enter the convent and serve the Lord.

Dear Veronica,
     I'm writing now to ask you for more rose petals and medals. I went to Bayside in May for the first time, and since that time I've been trying to spread Our Lady's message, especially in the hospital where I work as a pediatric nurse. My patients have benefited greatly from these sacramentals.
     Nadine is a beautiful teenager with leukemia who has been suffering greatly. I put Our Lady's medal under her pillow, and later told her mom about Bayside and the cures obtained through Our Lady.
     One night Nadine could not sleep. I gave her my rosary from Bayside and told her to say it. Soon she was sitting up in bed asking for food. She hadn't had much of an appetite in weeks. She is now in remission. Please continue to pray for her.
     I feel so lucky to have seen you, Veronica. My prayers are with you too.

LUNG AILMENT
June 28, 1984

Mrs. Gunawardana fully recovered from a lung disease with which she had suffered for the past forty years after wearing a rose petal over the affected area:
     "My cough has vanished, and I am quite relieved of the ailment. It's a miracle. Even the medical men could not cure me."
